A year and a half-long nationwide search finally ended Tuesday night when the Paso Robles City Council selected one of their own as the next police chief.
Chief Robert Burton has lived in the county for 43 years and has spent nearly 20 of them working for the Paso Robles Police Department.

We are learning more about the man police say robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on Spring St. in Paso Robles.
Police say the robber is on the loose. He is described as 6'2 or 6'3 220 pounds, last seen wearing a bandana, white t-shirt, baseball hat and blue jeans.

San Luis Obispo CAL FIRE crews battled a small brush fire Saturday.
The four acre fire was near Ground Squirrel Hollow east of Paso Robles.
Crews used air and ground attack to get the fire contained. The cause is under investigation.

A man has been arrested in Paso Robles in connection to three residential burglaries.
Thomas Justice Roufs, 18, was identified by fingerprints located at the scene of a May 28th burglary.
A search warrant led to Rouf's arrest and authorities found stolen property from that burglary (More)
