Local boy drowns; reminder of pool safety

Man arrested for assault with a deadly weapon

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says a man is in jail after allegedly assaulting his roommate with a knife in Paso Robles Thursday.

Witnesses told the sheriff's deputies that 54-year-old Daniel Conrad Juhl attacked 55-year-old Robert Criste Curran Jr. at a home on Gateway Drive and Heritage Ranch. Investigators say Curran Jr. was transported to a nearby hospital with knife wounds, and is expected to survive.

Van Halen to perform at Mid-State Fair

The California Mid-State Fair announced on Wednesday that Van Halen has been booked for the 2013 Fair.

The legendary rock band will perform at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, July 24th in the Chumash Grandstand Arena.

Paso Robles arrest five for drug charges

A newly formed drug task force team has made its first arrests.

Paso Robles Police arrested five suspects in the city library parking lot.

Charges include felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Three Speckled Hens Antiques and Old Stuff Show held in Paso Robles

If you're a fan of antique collecting, you may want to head up to Paso Robles this weekend.

The Three Speckled Hens Antiques and Old Stuff Show is going on Saturday and Sunday.

More than 90 antique collectors and dealers will be at the event, held at the Paso Robles Event Center.

The event goes until 4 p.m. Saturday and continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission costs $9 at the door.

Northbound Highway 101 blocked by overturned truck

Northbound Highway 101 just south of Paso Robles is shut down right now because of an overturned semi truck.

The crash happened at about 4:45 Friday afternoon between Spring Street and Highway 46 West.

There's no word on any injuries at this time or how soon the freeway will be reopened.
