The California Highway Patrol says all lanes on the 101 freeway have been cleared following a single vehicle accident.
It happened just after 8:00 a.m. Thursday on the northbound side of Highway 101, just south of Madonna Road.
CHP officers say one car was involved. They didn't release any further information about the accident.
At one point, the fast lane was blocked.
The CHP says traffic was backed up to Los Osos Valley Road.

That is above the national rate of 72% for flu vaccinations among health care workers, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Sierra Vista officials say staff who are unable to receive the flu shot will wear a surgical mask while in patient areas for the rest of the flu season.
