Los Olivos Elementary and Olive Grove Charter Schools are on lockdown.
Santa Barbara County Sheriff's officials asked the schools be locked down Friday afternoon as a precaution, while they handle a nearby incident.
They say they are communicating with a despondent person who may be armed inside a home in the 2400 block of Alamo Pintado Road.

A 28-year-old man pled guilty to 21 felony counts of identity theft, grand theft and money laundering.
The Santa Barbara County District Attorney says Imoukhuede Ehimika set up fake bank accounts after stealing personal information from victim's homes.
He stole more than $200,000 from his victims.
He was sentenced to five years and eight months in jail and must pay restitution.

Sexually violent predator Tibor Karsai was released as a transient last month in Santa Barbara County and there are questions about who is picking up the tab as he transitions back into the community.

Mountain bikers from throughout Southern California are coming to the Central Coast this weekend.
The Southern California High School Mountain Bike Finals were held Sunday at The Dirt Club in Los Olivos.

Two men were arrested early Friday morning on various charges including being under the influence of drugs.
