There actually is a chance of rain in the forecast

Another in a series of upper level low pressure systems will sling thru the Central Coast later Thursday into the weekend.  A surface front will move over the coast on Friday morning for some rain.  I think most locations see less than .10" of rain however up to .25" could fall along the northern coast of SLO county.  The SB Southcoast and deep interior valleys may get no rain at all with the front.  This is not the kind of rain that will impact the droug...

Low pressure is bringing more onshore flow over the Central Coast, which is resulting in the increased marine layer and fog. The Central Coast is waking up to May Gray that will likely hang around throughout the morning, but by noon there could be some clearing. With the cloudy conditions, there is potential for some drizzle Tuesday during the morning commute. The beaches and coastal valleys will range from the low 60s to upper 60s, while temperatures will warm-up just a little bit m...

Clouds and cool temps much of the week

        Monday, May 21 2018 7:24 PM EDT2018-05-21 23:24:25 GMT

Clouds were stubborn at the coast an took much of the day to partially clear in the inland valleys and not much change this week.  An upper low will spin over the area for clouds with some clear breaks (especially inland). We'll see highs in the lower 60s at the beaches with upper 60s and low 70s at the coastal valleys and lower to mid 70s inland.

Daytime highs will range from the 60s to the 70s throughout the Central Coast on Monday. At the beaches, low to upper 60s are in the forecast, while the coastal valleys could get close to the low 70s. Further inland, temperatures will be a little warmer but not by much with daytime highs ranging from the low to mid-70s. The Central Coast will still wake up to mid-high level cloud coverage and fog which will linger throughout the morning ahead of late morning clearing. These conditio...
