    Cal Poly outfielder Alex McKenna and catcher Nick Meyer, both juniors next spring, are included in Baseball America's Top 100 college prospects for the 2018 Major League Baseball draft.     Following the conference championships this past weekend, Cal Poly’s Sierra Brill and Mark Conover won Big West Cross Country Awards announced Thursday. Brill was selected as the Women’s Freshman of the Year, while Conover earned Men’s Coach of the Year. Brill is the ninth Mustang in 13 years to collect the women’s freshman plaque.

Spanos Stadium as the Cal Poly men's soccer program, in front of a sellout crowd of 11,075 fans - the 14th largest regular season crowd figure in NCAA history and the largest crowd to see a collegiate match in 2017 - scored four unanswered goals to rout the Gauchos, 4-1.
