KSBY has partnered with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for a 4th year of the Your Favorite Charity contest.
We are looking for the best and brightest in the categories of Arts & Culture, Education & Youth Development, Environment & Animals, Health, Human Services & Community Development.
The nomination period of the contest has ended and a distinguished panel of judges has selected the top 21 charities which will participate in the voting portion of the contest.
Vote every day between July 10 and July 21, 2017 for 'Your Favorite Charity' and better the odds that Your Favorite Charity will win!
Four lucky winners will take home $1,000 each on July 26, 2017 and one very lucky winner will walk away with the grand prize of $10,000 and the title of Your Favorite Charity.

What qualifies an organization?
The organization must be based in the San Luis Obispo or Northern Santa Barbara County area as well as serve that area through their charitable work. The non-profit must reside in PG&E's service territory. The organization must also have a 501c3 status with the IRS with a charitable focus, not advocacy.
How do I know if I am in the PG&E territory?
We have created a map which includes the territory, click here for the map. Because the territory is not a straight line, the best way to really tell is if you pay your electricity bill to PG&E. You must pay your electricity bill to PG&E from the address that the non-profit is registered to through the IRS.
