Megan Abundis joined the KSBY News team in May 2016 as a Multimedia Journalist and could not be more thrilled to live on the Central Coast.

Megan is a proud graduate of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) where she was an inaugural Edward R. Murrow Scholar and graduated Cum Laude. She’s a two-time award winner from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for college excellence.

Megan loves to travel and has been around the world, reporting in remote locations such as Kathmandu Nepal, Havana Cuba and all over Europe.

She had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business when she interned at KING 5, the NBC affiliate in Seattle, Washington. She also did a stint at KHQ in Spokane.

Although a Washington state native, Megan is loving the Central Coast and all it has to offer. Don’t be surprised if you see her out on one of the many local hiking trails and beaches.
