A time capsule is being buried at Cuesta College in honor of the school's 50th anniversary, and the community is invited to attend.
The capsule was built by students in the college's welding program and includes various planning and accreditation documents, along with other items of significance to the college this year.
The burial is happening at Cougar Park on the San Luis Obispo campus at 1:30 p.m.
The capsule will be dug up in 25 years.

CAL FIRE crews will be in West Atascadero Tuesday for the annual Fire Preparedness Exercise.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., crews will be at Vierra Ranch, just south of Santa Lucia and El Monte roads, hiking, constructing fire lines, and participating in various safety exercises.
The exercise is done to maintain CAL FIRE'S Type 1 status for emergency response in California.
CAL FIRE says crews have been training for the exercise for several months.

Officials with the California Highway Patrol say a Grover Beach man was killed in a single vehicle crash Friday night.
It happened just before 11 p.m.
According to reports, the 33-year-old man was driving westbound on Lynch Canyon approaching Oak Shores Drive in Bradley.
