Very windy Wednesday and still windy Thursday with afternoon gusts both days to 40mph, advisories are in place.
A cooling trend will continue through Thursday, below normal daytime temperatures are expected through the holiday weekend with night through morning low clouds and fog in coastal and valley areas. Warming may begin across the region Tuesday.

An upper low is moving into the Pacific NW tonight through Wednesday and the surface pressure gradients tighten dramatically.

A limited marine layer meant a warm Monday but the marine layer will develop along the coastline tonight and move inland by Tuesday.
It is because low pressure will be moving through he West.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Santa Barbara County until three Sunday morning. North to northwest winds between 20-30 miles per hour will develop through and below passes and canyons. Exercise caution while driving along the 101 and 154 highway and through the 5 corridor.

High pressure is building in but not looking like the impressive ridge models advertised earlier this week.
That'll still mean fewer clouds and warmer temperatures but no 100 degree heat inland (90s still likely Sunday). Beaches in the 60s to about 70 over the weekend while coastal valleys warm from the low to mid 70s into the upper 70s Sunday. Monday looks like a copy of Sunday but Tuesday through Thursday onshore flow comes back and temps dip once again.
