A prescribed burn in the Coon Creek area of Montana de Oro State Park has jumped containment lines and is now being treated like a wildfire.
CAL FIRE says 100-plus acres have been burned in addition to the original 430 that were set to be burned as a part of the prescribed burn.(More)

Residents near the coast will see some smoke on Monday afternoon. CAL FIRE will be conducting a prescribed burn on Monday and Tuesday in Coon Creek acres.
Fire officials say crews will burn approximately 430 acres on both Montana de Oro State Park and PG&E property.
Smoke will be visible between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.
Officials say private trails will be closed during the burn, along with Pecho Valley Road just south of Spooners Cove.

According to officials with Vandenberg Air Force Base, a wildland fire that broke out Saturday afternoon is completely out.
The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. on North base and burned 70 acres.
No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported, but 20 people were evacuated from three buildings earlier in the day.
Investigators are currently on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.

The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. on North base.
They say the fire has burned 70 acres.
No structures have been damaged, but they say 20 people from three facilities were evacuated.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Officials at Vandenberg Air Force Base say a vegetation fire has broken out on north base.
It happened Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m.
They say they have a helicopter and crews on the way.
They do not know at this point how big the fire is.

Santa Barbara County Fire Investigators are asking for the public's help as they look into Tuesday's vegetation fire at the top of the Cold Springs Trail above Montecito.
They have set up a tip line and are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire to give them a call.

The Fort Hunter Liggett Fire Department spent Tuesday afternoon working to contain a large vegetation fire.
Fire officials say the fire burned approximately 300 acres.
Fire Chief Steve Scruton expects to gain full containment by daybreak Wednesday morning.
The fire was burning in a high brush area but no structures are threatened and there are no reports of any injuries

Evacuation orders remain in effect for public safety for the Cold Fire that is burning at the top of Cold Springs Trail in Montecito.
Mandatory evacuations are underway for structures north of Mountain Drive from Cold Springs to the east to Park Lane West.
