    UPDATE: 5 acres burned in brush fire at Edna Ranch

    Cal Fire says five acres of grass and brush have burned in a fire at Edna Ranch just outside of San Luis Obispo.

    The fire was reported just before 1:00 pm on Monday.

    Cal Fire says no buildings are threatened. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

    As of 1:40 pm, fire crews said they expected to have the forward progress of the fire stopped by 2:00 pm.

    Two air tankers and a helicopter are assisting crews on the ground with fighting the fire.

    Beginning Monday, 50 seasonal firefighters will join CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire.

    Early-morning structure fire under investigation

    Investigators are working to determine the cause of a structure fire in Santa Barbara early Friday morning.

    The fire broke out around 1:15 a.m. at a convenient store near the 100 block of El Sueno Road, and was knocked down 30 minutes later.

    Santa Barbara County Fire Department officials say the fire was confined to inside the building.

    No one was inside the building when the fire broke out and no one was hurt.

    Early morning truck fire causes no structural damage

    CAL FIRE and Pismo Beach Police were called out to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of the Shell Gas Station in Pismo Beach Tuesday around 10:00 a.m..

    A truck had mechanical issues which caused an engine fire. Fire crews quickly knocked down the fire.

    There were no injuries or damage to structures nearby.

    Officials are investigating the cause of a structure fire that broke out early Friday morning in Nipomo.

    The fire started around 4:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Silver Leaf Court.

    CALFIRE officials say the fire was contained less than 30 minutes later and was out before 6 a.m.

    No injuries were reported.

    CALFIRE says one person may still be inside a home that is on fire in Nipomo.

    As of 4:45 a.m., CALFIRE had one engine at the scene, with more on the way.

    Officials say the home is in the 500 block of Silver Leaf Court.

    Very little information is available at this time.

    Slash pile burn happening Monday in Morro Bay

    Smoke may be visible in Morro Bay Monday.

    A slash pile burn is taking place in the Black Hill and Marina Peninsula area at Morro Bay State Park.

    The burn is part of a hazard fuel reduction and fire management program.

    It's being organized by the California State Parks and the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority, along with the Air Pollution Control District and Morro Bay Fire Department.

    Crews knock down fire at Santa Maria factory

    The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says an investigator has been called out to determine the cause of a fire at the Sugar Factory in Santa Maria Thursday morning.

    Officials say the fire broke out around 5:45 a.m. and crews had it knocked down by 6:08 a.m., but continued searching for any extension of it.

    Officials say the fire was in the walls of the the factory, which is in the 2100 block of Sinton Road.

    No injuries have been reported.

    Crews on scene of factory fire in Santa Maria

    The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says crews are on the scene of a structure fire in Santa Maria.

    The fire broke out Thursday around 5:47 a.m. at a factory in the 2100 block of Sinton Road.

    The extent of the fire or any injuries is not available at this time.
