The California Highway Patrol says they are looking for a big rig car hauler they say left a scene of a traffic accident.
It happened a little before 8 p.m. Wednesday near the Wadsworth Avenue off ramp in the northbound lanes of Highway 101.
CHP says the big rig involved had to suddenly stop due to a pervious collision on the highway, which caused four other vehicles to suddenly break, causing them to hit each other from behind.
Four out of the five cars stopped.
A Santa Maria man suffered from injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The big rig left the scene.
