Mendoza told KSBY over the phone that he was Tietjen's case worker through the local non-profit organization NCI Affiliates/Achievement House Inc. CHP looking for big rig in local hit and run

10/17/2012 07:27 PM by Christina Jensen, KSBY News

The California Highway Patrol says they are looking for a big rig car hauler they say left a scene of a traffic accident.

It happened a little before 8 p.m. Wednesday near the Wadsworth Avenue off ramp in the northbound lanes of Highway 101.

CHP says the big rig involved had to suddenly stop due to a pervious collision on the highway, which caused four other vehicles to suddenly break, causing them to hit each other from behind.

Four out of the five cars stopped.

A Santa Maria man suffered from injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The big rig left the scene.
