The family of the San Simeon man hit and killed by a car last week in Cambria would like the public to know about memorial plans scheduled for him.
Tony Torell (pictured on the left) was killed on February 9 while walking with his bicycle on Highway One, just north of Cambria Pines Road. The California Highway Patrol said the driver didn't see Torell because he was wearing dark clothing.
A service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Community Presbyterian Church of Cambria.
A Tony Torell Memorial Fund has been set up at Rabobank. His family would like to set up a memorial for their Dad, possibly a bike rack or bench with a plaque.
