The Earwigs are in the CIF semifinals for the second year in a row. The Dunn baseball team scored four runs in the sixth inning to win on the road at Santa Clarita Christian 4-1 on Friday.

Dunn tallied 5 hits in the game and took advantage of a key SCC error in the pivotal sixth inning rally.

Dunn hosts top seeded and 18-3 Hillcrest Christian in the Division 7 semifinals next Tuesday. Dunn beat Hillcrest 6-1 in the quarterfinals last season.

Three-run home runs from Mitch Haniger and Chris Hoo were more than enough for starting pitcher Joey Wagman as the Cal Poly baseball team won its Big West Conference series opener at UC Riverside 11-2 on Friday night.

The biggest crowd of the season was on hand as the Santa Ynez baseball team hosted Paraclete in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs.  The Pirates weren't able to score any runs against Paraclete starter Joseph Rodriguez and lost 7-0.
