Vandenberg Air Force Base officials say a Minuteman III test missile launched Wednesday morning.
The launch of the unarmed missile was originally scheduled to go up Tuesday morning, but was delayed because of a range safety instrumentation issue.

Santa Barbara Police arrested a woman for felony DUI and felony child endangerment.
Police say Kate Walters of Santa Barbara was driving drunk when she crashed into a lamppost and severely injured her 3-year old son.
Walters's son was taken to a hospital for multiple injuries from the collision, including a broken neck.
Walters was treated for minor injuries and was booked into Santa Barbara county jail.
Bail was set at $100,000.

the surf movies Groundsweel and Thicker Than Water will kick off the 4th Annual Wine Waves & Beyond Central Coast Longboard Surf Classic.

Traffic slowly started moving through Pismo Beach again on Tuesday evening, after three separate crashes stopped traffic.
They all happened just before 5:00 pm in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near Price Street.
Seven vehicles in total were involved.
The California Highway Patrol says there were no injuries.
Both lanes of traffic were closed for a time, but reopened at around 5:40 pm.

A month ago, a company from Goleta helped police find the Boston bombing suspect hiding in a tarp-covered boat.
Now, it's helping to locate survivors buried in the rubble left by a massive tornado in Oklahoma.
They're doing it using thermal imaging.

A crash involving several vehicles has stopped southbound traffic on Highway 101 in Pismo Beach.
It happened near the Price Street onramp just before 5:00 pm on Tuesday.
The California Highway Patrol says approximately five vehicles are involved.
There is no word on any injuries at this time.

It's almost time for Blues baseball and the San Luis Blues is kicking things off with a pre-season fundraiser Wednesday at Central Coast Brewing.
