REDDING, Calif. (AP) - Fire crews have fully contained a wildfire that burned 1,200 acres near Redding in Northern California.
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection spokeswoman Tammy Hay said the fire was surrounded by Saturday evening.
The blaze consumed about 1,200 acres since it was reported Thursday afternoon. Two outbuildings have been destroyed and five homes damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
