1 confirmed dead, another missing in local boating accident

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, one person died and another remains missing after a boating accident in the waters off Vandenberg Air Force Base Tuesday morning.

The department sent a rescue helicopter and 2 rescue swimmers to the area after base officials informed fire crews that a boat had run aground at Minuteman beach, on the north part of the base.
