There are some new police officers on the Central Coast.
Thursday was the graduation for the 105th class of Allan Hancock Academy.
There were 25 recruits in the class.
Many already have jobs with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office and Lompoc Police Department, and six were hired by the Santa Maria Police Department.
The only woman in the class was hired as a Lompoc Police officer.
Lompoc Police Chief Larry Ralston says, "We've promoted her to police officer. She went through the academy. Today was her graduation day. We are real proud and pleased to get her on board."
The course work included 827 hours in the classroom.
Recruits also had to go through physical fitness tests.
