VALLEJO, Calif. (AP) - Police say a 14-year-old California boy is in Juvenile Hall for the attempted murder, kidnapping and sexual assault of a 65-year-old woman.
Vallejo police Lt. Jim O'Connell says the woman was leaving a shopping center store Thursday evening when the teenager forced her into her minivan at gunpoint and drove to a remote area near Interstate 80.
The lieutenant says she was then sexually attacked. Officers found her bound with duct tape and unconscious in a ditch as the teen fled in the minivan.
The teenager was arrested and a replica handgun was found in the minivan.
He is in custody at the Solano County Juvenile Hall.
