17 DUI arrests in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara Police Officers have arrested 17 people for driving under the influence over the Independence Day Holiday.
As part of the Avoid the 12 campaign, 12 county law enforcement agencies were on patrol from 12:01 a.m. Tuesday through 6:00 a.m. Thursday.
Santa Barbara Police say in 2011, 52 DUI arrests occurred during the entire four day holiday enforcement campaign.
