18-year-old fatally stabbed at LA high school

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say an 18-year-old who was stabbed on the campus of a San Fernando Valley high school has died.

Police spokesman Christopher Ngo says two suspects stabbed the young man soon after classes were over Wednesday at Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda.

Ngo says the student was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. His name has not been released because relatives have yet to be notified.

Police Cmdr. Sharon Papa tells the Los Angeles Times the victim was a student at an adult school in nearby Woodland Hills and was stabbed on the school's handball courts.

The suspects, young men about 18 years old, ran from the campus and have not been arrested.

Messages left for school district officials were not immediately returned.
