Atascadero State Hospital says two patients have been arrested following four separate assaults at the hospital over the last several days.
Four employees, including two psychiatric technicians and two nurses, were assaulted Friday, January 13, according to ASH spokesperson Craig Dacus.
In the first assault, a psychiatric technician was treated in the hospital infirmary but no arrest was made.
In the second assault, a patient attacked a nurse and a psychiatric technician. Both were treated in the infirmary and the suspect was arrested and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail.
In the third assault, a patient attacked a nurse who was able to return to work immediately following the incident. No arrests were made.
Then Tuesday, a patient assaulted another psychiatrist, according to Dacus. The employee was treated in the infirmary and the suspect was arrested.
The investigation into all of the incidents is ongoing, according to Dacus.
