Three suspected gang members are in custody after a two-month investigation by the Santa Barbara Police Department's Narcotics Unit that led to the seizure of drugs, guns, and cash. Police say at the location, they detained Sergio Sanchez, 19, who lived there, Aaron Nevarez, 19, and an 18-year-old man as they were driving away. During the search, detectives say they found 2.2 ounces of cocaine, 1.5 ounces of methamphetamine, $13,000 in cash and a loaded .22 caliber handgun. Nevarez was also in possession of three grams of hashish oil and is a felony probationer, according to police. Sanchez and Nevarez were both booked into Santa Barbara County Jail. Sanchez's bail is $30,000 and Nevarez's bail is $20,000. The 18-year old was booked into Santa Barbara County Juvenile Hall for violation of juvenile probation.
