The Santa Maria Police Department says 20 people were arrested during a street enforcement saturation sweep in the city Wednesday.
Many law enforcement agencies, including the Santa Barbara Regional Narcotic Enforcement Team and the F.B.I., worked together during the sweep to target narcotics offenders and reduce the number of narcotics-related crimes in the city.
Arrests were made for possession of controlled substances, being under the influence of controlled substances, and probation and parole violations.
