2009 record breaking year for strawberry crop

It was a record breaking year for the local strawberry crop. The California Strawberry Commission says California farmers broke records by harvesting more than 174 million flats in 2009. In Santa Maria, there were around 39 million in 2009. That's a 25-percent increase from 2008.
