Santa Barbara County Sheriff's office say two men are in jail after deputies discovered an illegal marijuana growing operation in the Los Padres National Forest.
27 year-old Joel Lopez and 37 year-old Cipriano Torres were arrested at the scene.
The sheriff's office says both suspects are Mexican nationals who entered the US illegally.
Detectives were tipped off about the growing operation in Happy Canyon by a hunter two weeks ago.
They found two rifles at the scene.
Investigators found 100 pounds of marijuana at the site, with a street value of $250,000.
Bail for the two men is set at $50,000 each.
