26 aces lead unbeaten Templeton to sweep of Morro Bay

The Templeton High girls volleyball team remained on track for its first-ever Los Padres League title. The Eagles easily swept Morro Bay 25-11, 25-19 and 25-13 to improve to 8-0 in league and 11-1 overall.

The Eagles fired off 26 aces, which accounted for more than one-third of their points.

Heather Fields led Templeton with 11 kills and 9 aces. Autumn Russell tallied 7 kills and fired off 9 aces. Sydney Roth recorded 24 digs and 3 aces.

The Eagles play at Santa Maria next Tuesday before the big home match on senior night against second place Nipomo.
