It's the 29th Annual West Coast Piper Cub Fly-In this weekend at the Lompoc Airport.
Piper Cubs are small airplanes made of metal tubing and cloth. Thousands existed back in the 1930's and 1940's, but today, only several hundred remain.
Over 50 Pipers are expected to fly this weekend.
The event is free and kicks off Saturday at 1 p.m. The event goes all day and ends with an award ceremony at 7 p.m.
