PETALUMA, Calif. (AP) - Federal officials say three Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents suffered injuries while serving warrants in the San Francisco Bay area.
Television news reports that a shooting broke out during the operation in Petaluma around 4 a.m. Thursday. ICE says they were injured during an operation is part of an ongoing criminal investigation, and that a suspect is in custody.
The suspect has not been identified, and ICE did not release additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The agents were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
News footage showed dozens of officers - some in SWAT gear - were still at the scene around 6 a.m.
