After months of thefts and burglaries in south San Luis Obispo County, hundreds of suspected stolen items have been seized and three men arrested after law enforcement officials served search warrants early Friday morning.
Arroyo Grande Police say members of the Regional S.W.A.T. Team and a Regional Task Force, which was formed to help combat the theft and burglary trend, served search warrants in Arroyo Grande on Alpine Street and in Grover Beach on Atlantic City Avenue and South 13th Street.
Police say they found hundreds of items of suspected stolen property, including tools, bikes and electronics.
As a result of the search warrants, officials arrested Matt Garrett Jeffers, 32; Miky Sears, 41; and George Louis Dardajunior, 55.
Jeffers is facing charges of possession of stolen property and possession of property with altered identification numbers; Sears is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of more than one ounce of marijuana, and possession of metal knuckles; and Dardajunior is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale.
All three were booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
The police department will let people know how to go about identifying their stolen property once the evidence is processed and inventoried.
The Regional Task Force is made up of members from the Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach and San Luis Obispo police departments, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's and Probation departments, and the California State Parole Department.
