LOS ANGELES (AP) - Three tax preparers have been indicted in California on conspiracy charges for allegedly helping clients evade taxes by hiding money in two secret Israeli bank accounts.

Federal prosecutors said Friday that David Kalai, his son Nadav Kalai and David Almong were arrested and charged with conspiring to defraud the government. If convicted, they each face up to five years in prison.

An indictment said the men prepared false income tax returns which didn't disclose their client's foreign financial accounts and didn't report the income earned from those accounts. Authorities say the men helped clients open secret accounts of two Israeli banks in Luxembourg.

The Kalais ran United Revenue Service Inc., which had 12 offices in the U.S. A call to United Revenue Service found the number disconnected.
