Police say a burglar got away with about $30,000 worth of equipment from the Photo Shop in San Luis Obispo.
The locally-owned business is on Marsh Street. Owner Peggy Mesler says most of the equipment taken from the store between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning included Canon brand cameras, lenses and flashes.
Mesler is now trying to figure out how the burglar got into the store without being detected. "The doors were locked. The alarms were set. And the alarms were still set when I came in this [Wednesday] morning," said Mesler.
Mesler says either the alarm was reset, or bypassed. She says it could have also been someone that knows her code.
Mesler says police officers did find clothing fibers in the door. They're using the fibers and fingerprint analysis in hopes of catching the person responsible for the crime.
