Triathletes put their skills to the test Sunday at the 34th Annual SLO Triathlon.
The triathlon kicked off Sunday morning at Sinsheimer Park.
Organizers say over 1100 athletes competed in swimming, biking, and running races. They went on a half mile swim, 15 mile bike ride, and 3.1 mile run.
"We get a lot of people that never have done a triathlon before, so they're really just competing with themselves, trying to finish. Everybody gets a medal. We don't award winners or anything, so in our book, everybody's a winner," said Richard Ogden, the race director.
