4.0-magnitude quake hits San Diego County

BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) - A magnitude-4.0 earthquake has hit the San Diego County desert but there are no reports of damage or injuries.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck at 1:37 p.m. Saturday. It was centered 12 miles southwest of Ocotillo Wells, 19 miles southeast of Borrego Springs and 54 miles northeast of San Diego.

The San Diego Police Department says there no reports of damage or injuries.
