Four people were arrested and two are wanted in an FBI drug investigation in San Luis Obispo County.
Detectives served search and arrest warrants at locations in Paso Robles and rural Atascadero yesterday.
They found methamphetamine and cocaine with an estimated street value of $80,000.
Four men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to distribute drugs throughout Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
Detectives also found a .45 caliber pistol that was stolen from Tulare County. Investigators say the suspects have direct ties to a drug ring in Mexico.
Two suspects took off before detectives arrived at the Atascadero location.
They are identified as Edgar Paul Alvarez-Rendon, 24, and Jesus Alejandro Alcala-Martinez, also 24.
The FBI Santa Maria Central Coast Safe Streets Task Force is working on the case along with detectives from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Gang Task Force and officers of the California Highway Patrol.
