SANTA MARIA, Calif. (AP) - Four California men have been charged with murder for the gang-related stabbing death of a man in Santa Maria last week.
Officers say the four defendants confronted 32-year-old Alberto Diaz Jr. on a Santa Maria street last Friday and one of them stabbed him to death. There are
no details on what led to the killing.
Santa Barbara County prosecutors filed murder charges with gang allegations against 20-year-old Christopher Brewer, 19-year-old Jacob Brewer, 29-year-old Gabriel Almaguer and 24-year-old Rudy Ramos.
They are all Santa Maria residents. Ramos has eluded capture.
Christopher Brewer was charged with a special allegation that he plunged the knife into the Guadalupe victim.
They will be arraigned on Tuesday.
