There were lots of wagging tails at San Luis Obispo County Animal Services, when the dogs got a tasty special delivery, Friday from Los Osos 4-H.
The "little pets and small animals group" donated hundreds of hot dogs and cheese.
The children spent hours chopping and bagging the treats which will be used to help train the dogs there.
The goal is make the dogs more obedient... and more adoptable.
The kids filled more than 50 doggy goodie bags.
"We had them all over the house. It was a lot of fun! And they are so excited to see the animals here and feel like they're making a difference," said Sandy Potter of Los Osos 4-H.
Dr. Eric Anderson of Animal Services said volunteers have to be at least 18 years-old, so this was a great way to get younger kids involved in helping the animals.
