LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say four people were injured in an explosion south of downtown Los Angeles.
City fire spokesman Matt Spence says something exploded at about 6:30 p.m., and paramedics are taking four patients to hospitals.
Spence says it is not clear what exploded, or exactly where the blast happened, but no fire broke out and there were no further explosions.
He says it happened at Grand Avenue and Adams Boulevard, a few blocks from the University of Southern California campus near Interstate 110.
