LA HABRA, Calif. (AP) Police say four people were killed and two injured when a pickup truck went out of control and crashed into a tree in Southern California.

La Habra police Sgt. Jeff Baylos says all six victims were riding in the cab of the truck in the Sunday crash.

Authorities are investigating whether alcohol was involved and whether the truck was speeding through the neighborhood with a 25 miles per hour limit.

Police say 22-year-old driver David Huizar, 22-year-old Jimmy Gonzales, 25-year-old Paul Romero and 22-year-old Delora Bravo were declared dead at the scene.

They say 25-year-old Destiney Mendoza and 21-year-old Rochelle Romero were taken to a hospital in Orange and remained in critical condition hours later.

All the victims were from La Habra and nearby cities in Orange County.
