Volunteers will kick of their fundraising efforts for the 4th Annual Walk for Autism this Saturday, and helping could be as easy as getting a good laugh.
On Saturday comedians will take the stage at Cuesta College for a night of laughs, called "Stand Up for Autism."
The price of each ticket will go to the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center, and the center hopes the show also encourages people to put on their walking shoes for the fundraiser in April.
Last year, hundreds helped make the event the center's biggest fundraiser of the year. Even actor and Arroyo Grande native Zac Efron pounded the pavement.
"Stand Up for Autism" tickets are $20 and include free parking at the Cuesta Performing Arts Center at Cuesta College. The event starts at 7:00p.m. In addition to a night of laughter, attendees will also be able to participate in a raffle, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction, all benefitting the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center. All of the money stays local, and goes toward resources and services for people with autism. You can click here for more information.
