LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) - Five cities have submitted their official bid files for the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics.

The IOC says it received the documents from Buenos Aires, Argentina; Glasgow, Scotland; Guadalajara, Mexico; Medellin, Colombia; and Rotterdam, Netherlands, by Tuesday's deadline.

The Polish city of Poznan withdrew its candidacy last week for financial reasons.

An IOC working group will study the files and prepare a report for the IOC executive board, which will decide on a shortlist of finalists in February. The IOC will vote on the host city on July 4.

The Youth Games feature about 3,600 athletes ages 15 to 18.

The first Youth Olympics were held in Singapore in 2010, with the 2014 edition slated for Nanjing, China.
