EL CAJON, Calif. (AP) - Officials say six power poles have toppled on a residential street in San Diego County, leaving some 1,500 without power.

Bith telephone and power poles fell, most of them into the street.

Heartland Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Monica Zech says no vehicles, houses or buildings were hit and there are no reports of any injuries. Zech says residents have been told to stay inside, but there have been no evacuations. Police have blocked off the street.

San Diego Gas and Electric spokeswoman Julie Wright says crews have cut the power to the wires. She says about 1,500 customers have no power.

Emergency Responders say it appeared a tree limb somehow downed one pole, causing a chain reaction that felled the others.
