6 RBI night from Cal Poly recruit Morgan leads Indians to 15-6 win

Cal Poly recruit Kevin Morgan clubbed 3 doubles and drove in 6 runs to lead the North County Indians to a 15-6 win over the ATH Academy on Wednesday night in Templeton. The Indians improved to 15-7 on the season and avenged Tuesday night's 5-3 loss to the Around the Horn Academy.

The Indians out-hit the Academy 9-8 and each team committed 4 errors.

Arroyo Grande High graduate Kyle Brown earned the win. He allowed 7 hits and 5 earned runs in 5 innings. The lefty struck out 3. Alex Fagalde earned the save with 4 shutout innings. He allowed just 1 hit and struck out 6.

Morgan went 3 for 4 with 6 RBI, while San Luis Obispo High graduate Garrett Giovannelli went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI.

The Indians host the East Los Angeles Dodgers Friday and Saturday at 7 pm.
