Officers with the Atascadero Police Department, Santa Monica Police Department, and Monterey County Sheriff's Department came together to seize over $60,000 worth of property that had been purchased using stolen credit card numbers. Included in the stolen property was over 27,000 rounds of ammunition.
Officers served a search warrant at a home in the city of Bradley on Friday. They say the joint investigation took place over several weeks and at least three people have been arrested.
Some of the stolen property included electronics, expensive clothing and accessories, a John Deer riding mower, and various ammunition, including 220 rounds of 50 caliber ammunition typically used by the U.S. Military.
As part of the investigation, Atascadero Police arrested 20-year-old Vincent Gerard Tarantino of Bradley. During his arrest, officials say they found a loaded and unregistered 45 caliber handgun and some marijuana in the vehicle he was driving.
