690-acre wildfire in Ventura County is contained

GORMAN, Calif. (AP) - Firefighters have contained a wildfire that burned 690 acres of brush in Ventura County.

The Ventura County Star says the blaze in Los Padres National Forest was fully surrounded Wednesday afternoon.

The blaze started Saturday about 10 miles southeast of Frazier Park.

It triggered evacuations of campgrounds around an off-road recreation area but no buildings burned.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
