If you're a fan of flying kites, you're in luck this weekend.
The 7th Annual Morro Bay Kite Festival kicked off Saturday morning.
The family-friendly event is free to attend and continues through Sunday.
The first 500 kids that attended on Saturday were given free kites.
Professional kite-flyers and kite-dancers from around the country travelled to the Central Coast to provide entertainment.
"This is a family-based festival. We want everybody to come out with their family. Grandma and grandpa, kids, come out and fly a kite," said Shawn Farmer, the Event Director.
The event continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
