8 arrested in San Luis Obispo drug, theft sting

San Luis Obispo Police detectives arrested eight people Tuesday morning while following up on a number of leads involving drugs, stolen property, and parole violations.

Detectives searched a home in the 700 block of Johnson Avenue, where they say they found illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property.

Inside the home were 26-year-old Whitney Mowry, 26-year-old Barbara Roller, 27-year-old Chelsea Deperna, 20-year-old Chelsea McIntyre, 25-year-old Jesse Cardoza, and 25-year-old Jack Soto. Nearby, detectives found 29-year-old Jayson Hudson and 26-year-old Fernando Mendoza. All were arrested on various charges.

Detectives say more arrests could be made as their investigation moves forward.
