9-year-old cancer survivor's photography on display in Morro Bay this weekend

This Labor Day weekend, a 9-year-old cancer survivor's photography will be on display and available to buy at Art in the Park in Morro Bay.

At age two, Spencer Caserio was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL).

Despite six months of aggressive chemotherapy, he relapsed.

His only chance of survival would be to undergo a grueling, umbilical cord blood transplant at Duke University Children's Research Hospital.

At age nine, Spencer is cancer free.

He now spends his time capturing award-winning photographs. His work has taken home taken first place in numerous contests such as the New Times Photo Contest in his division, multiple first-place awards in the Cambria 4H Photography group and was voted winner of the cover photo contest for the 2010 Cambria Community Directory phone book.

10 percent of the proceeds he raises at Art in the Park this weekend will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
