A man who gunned down his estranged wife in Santa Maria back in August of 2011 entered a guilty plea in a Santa Barbara County Courtroom.

Isaac Martinez, 34, was arrested in Yuma, Arizona and then extradited to Santa Maria after he shot and killed Maria Dejesus Martinez, 35, several times on August 5, 2011.

Various law enforcement agencies worked together and discovered Martinez had traveled out of the state and was found just outside of Yuma, Arizona.

Martinez is expected to receive 75 years to life in state prison and will be formally sentenced on March 25.
